STARTING AT CHERRY TREE
Every child is different and some children take longer than others to settle. We work closely with you to make sure that your child has a happy and positive start at Cherry Tree.
The first visit is usually for an hour and you can stay and play with your child. This can be repeated for several days if need be, gradually building up the time that they stay on their own.
It is personalised to you and your child and what will work best for you both. Some children start happily straight away – we never assume anything!
Our Key Person system
At Cherry Tree we have a key person system. Every child will be assigned a key person as we believe it is important for a child’s development to have at least one warm, positive and nurturing relationship.
Every child and family is unique and we enjoy getting to know all our families and working together with them to support their child.
Every child will have a
Learning Journal in which we will put photos, special pictures and record conversations. This helps us to celebrate each child's individual achievements and progress.
